Correction. A prior GAH thread capture treated Roberto Grijalva as the identified 4chan poster. That formulation is too strong for the public source chain. The released grand-jury material establishes that the FBI pursued the posts and received records from 4chan; it also shows two distinct poster identities / associated IPs. The public bundle, on its face, does not prove Grijalva authored either poster ID.
Four posts, two poster identities
EFTA00133349 contains the FBI grand-jury subfile and 4chan's response. Report #2093 lists four post numbers and two associated IPs. The early death / medical-detail posts were made under the poster ID rPtND1Si. The separate "switch-out" claim was posted under swam8WIF. Treating those statements as one anonymous witness collapses two different source identities.
The subpoena chain
- The early 4chan posts appear before the first major press reports. One poster supplies death and resuscitation details; a different poster later alleges Epstein had been moved and "switched out."
- EFTA00123462. SDNY issues a grand-jury subpoena to 4chan listing the four post numbers.
- EFTA00129268 / EFTA00133349. 4chan's response supplies the requested post data and associated IP information.
- EFTA00133182. The subpoena-tracking material records carrier follow-up for IP addresses from 4chan.
Where the Grijalva claim breaks
Roberto Grijalva appears in separate MCC records, including an internal post-death memo. Other pages in the large grand-jury production contain subscriber, carrier, and financial records. Physical adjacency inside a 274-page production is not an identity join. GAH does not infer "4chan author" from the presence of Grijalva-related material elsewhere in the same investigative bundle.
Claim / Source / Bias / Silence
| Claim | Source | Bias / source class | Silence / limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| FBI/SDNY pursued four 4chan posts through grand-jury process. | EFTA00123462; EFTA00133349 | Primary subpoena / FBI grand-jury subfile. | Investigative interest does not validate the posts' factual claims. |
| The public record contains two poster identities / associated IPs, not one. | 4chan Report #2093 in EFTA00133349 | Provider response to legal process. | Does not itself establish the human behind either IP. |
| The "switch-out" allegation is not the same poster as the early medical-detail posts. | Post numbers / poster IDs in the released 4chan response. | Platform record. | Does not establish that the switch-out allegation is true. |
| Grijalva is documented in MCC records. | EFTA00048963 and related MCC material. | Separate institutional record. | Does not prove he authored either 4chan identity. |
What this brief does not claim. It does not identify either anonymous poster; it does not validate the "switch-out" allegation; and it does not alter the official death findings. The narrow correction is attribution: two posters existed, and the currently public bundle does not justify collapsing either one into Roberto Grijalva without an explicit source join.
